<idPurp>The purpose of this data set is to keep all the pertinent information for TDOT's Project Survey Control Points organized in a searchable database and display the location of those points on a map to make them easy to find.</idPurp>
<idAbs>&lt;DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;This data set contains the attributes of control points set for the surveying and construction TDOT projects. These attributes include the County that each point is in, the pointname, filename, the year it was set, the condition that it's in. It contains the coordinates of the point in a variety formats such as global and state plane. I provides the coordinates in different units such as US Survey Feet and Meters. It contains the horizontal and vertical datum , geoid, local datum adjustment and scale factor that was used in setting each point. It contains the names of people who set the point, described it and processed it's location. It contains the description of the monument that was set in the field and to reach and reference information for locating the point in the field. For older points in this data set there is backsight information, but newer points will not include backsight info.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</idAbs>
